We are trying to recreate and print some 8 1/2 x 11 forms and fill in data
from our database. There are areas where we are running into trouble and we
need some assistance if you have any to offer.
Report layout and preview match OK in the IDE. But when we compile and
publish the report over to the server it does not look the same. Elements do
not retain positioning, alignment, etc.
Feel free to respond to patrick at allaboutfocus dot com. THanks,.Patrick,
I found the same problem. Look at your fields to make sure they are
the same size. I found putting fields in a List box free format work
really well as opposed to just free format. If you do free format
columns be careful. Your best bet is to turn off or uncheck the can
increase to accomodate contents if you know how big your data boxes
should be. I found both of these to be very helpful.
Susan Pace|||Can you explain this part more please:
"I found putting fields in a List box free format work

A list box always has to be associated with a data source. Are you saying
that make each element a list box? Also - Do we put text boxes inside of the
list box?
Thank you,
Patrick
