Having Problems Installing SQL Server 2005 Express

I am running WinXP Home edition, and I was trying to install SQL Server Express, but the error message is too vague for me fix. It says my computer lacks the "Service Pack Requirements" to run the software, but I'm afraid I don't know which service pack requirements the error is talking about. What Service Pack do I need to download?

The error indicates one of a few things is the problem - have you checked
each of them? Can you offer us anything more to work with, such as:
(a) Does the file actually exist?
(b) Have you upgraded MMC.exe? (added new service packs lately etc)
(c) Have you uninstalled the SQL client tools perhaps?
A simple catch-all approach to solving the problem might be to simply
re-install the SQL Server Client Tools (not the server) which will probably
get you out of jail..

Has there been a re-release of SQL Server 2000 SP4 that fixes the AWE issue?

There is a binary fix available from Microsoft PSS.
The public hotfix, fully packaged and tested, is not out yet. The answer I
got was "soon". I would think latest in 2 weeks, but I am hoping for this
week.
